Who voted yes, and why?
I did vote yes. I think what Lagerway is doing is imperative to the success of not only SSFC but also USMNT. I get it, we can all sit here and "well he didn't do X, or he promised Y, or he said Z." but we dont know what is happening in those back rooms. We know we have an ownership group that is "thrifty" to say it nicely, and we know that he is used to a shoestring budget and can do good things with it (see, RSL 2009 champions, 2013 finalists in USOC and MLS Cup, constant Supporters Shield threats). I know, we are not those guys, but if Lagerway is being hindered by our cheap as hell ownership group then what do you really expect him to do? What I'm looking at is all of the success coming down the pipe that has rapidly increased over the years he has been there. Before we got going on the USL team, and investing in the kids where was Jordan? Where was Cristian? Where were any of the kids coming down the pipeline right now? We had no vision of any of the kids coming, and no faith that we would even develop them and get them out there. Do I believe that he is "The Greatest MLS GM Ever!", not anywhere close. But I dont think that "tanking the first half of the season" is on him. I dont think that it is entirely his fault we had a few "whiffs" on signings that we wanted but didn't happen. Does he deserve some blame, absolutely, but at this point I think his positives still out weight his negatives.
How did you manage to vote yes, I thought you weren't a season ticket holder?
Nevermind, you are talking about the poll up top.
