Sounders hit the road this weekend as they look to try and bounce back from one of the worst weeks in recent memory. Interesting stat of the day, of the 33 home games played by Western teams who are currently in playoff position, only once has the home team lost so far. In fact, for the entire Western Conference, out of 51 home games this year, the home has only lost 8 times. San Jose has 3 of those loses.

Anyways, Seattle's away record is an even 1-1-1. That might be improving this weekend though, because a trainer for the Sounders hinted on social media that everyone but Gustav is likely to be ready to play, barring any setbacks. Now who knows if that means starting or coming off the bench, but right now we can use all the help we can get.

P.S., i know this isn't very "Sounders" of me to say, but i hope Ozzie scores. I hope we win, but i want Ozzie to get Minnesota's lone goal, simply because of the shitty way Garth treated Ozzie every year he was here and the unceremonious way Garth let Ozzie go. Ozzie will always be a Sounders legend to me.

Looking forward to this match, but not seeing Alonso in another kit. Yes, in some ways it would be poetic justice to see Ozzie score on his old club and maybe rub Garth's nose in it- as long as the Sounders win.

I wish I could be as optimistic about the injury list. I've heard several times from Brian's own lips that "everyone is healthy" and then find out key players weren't even in the 18 for the next match. They supposedly have a new physio. He'd better get them healthy soon, or it might be another one of "those" seasons.

Yes, we'll be there and although my expectations for the Sounders are low, I'm really looking forward to the trip - Minneapolis/St Paul is a wonderful city. We'll be wearing the Rave Green, getting to the stadium early and doing our own self-led tour of the place which looks great from what I've seen so far. Weather forecast for the game has been in flux but at this moment looks good - dry and not terribly cold. Eager to see El Corazon again.

The Roldan incident has a major update: He's now been fined by the Disciplinary Committee for "failing to leave the field in a timely manner". Also, the Sounders have appealed his red card.

We've had decent success with appeals so he may very well be available this weekend, though his fine could stand. The fine seems unfair because Unkel was talking to VAR and Roldan was waiting for that to change anything...

We have a perfect record appealing reds. I didn’t think we had a case in this one, but even the “Instant Replay” clowns think it should be rescinded. As for Roldan’s fine, he should have said his piece while walking toward the tunnel. But it highlights a problem—language should be changed to permit a player to remain on/near the field until the VAR conversation is done. If the card is rescinded then his fine ought to be as well.

Great news on the red appeal! And great news that Ruidiaz is training...but he was training the week leading up to our match at LAFC and then, like an actual hit to the jingles, a pic of him in a walking boot--so consider my expectations tempered as far as Ruidiaz's return goes.

PS: We maintain our perfect record in red card appeals. This is good, but it just goes to show that we've gotten screwed over quite a lot.
