Subtitled "How the Seattle Sounders Showed Major League Soccer How to Win Over America"
Here's the Amazon link if you are interested. It just came out on March 5th:

I am bringing this up because Matt Pentz came up on another thread and it reminded me about his book. So, my main question is, if you've read it, what do you think?
Basically, the book is a look back at the story of the Seattle Sounders FC 2016 season. It begins by going over the main characters, then building in an overview of the season, reaching the climax in Toronto, of course, lifting the Cup. Pentz does a pretty good job of telling the story, and there are parts I never knew. Of course, there were many parts I was familiar with as well, and so it had a strange vibe to it because it felt like I lived it to a certain extent.
One small part I felt got left out was his description of the end of the 2015 season. He wrote about how the Sounders were eliminated on PKs by Dallas and that "familiar grumbling increased in volume. And within the club hierarchy, divisions deepened." I thought to myself, "what about the fact that our arch-rivals won MLS Cup???" Obviously, that poured salt in the wound, but Pentz never mentioned it there or later.
There is quite a bit about Lagerwey and his mindset which I thought was revealing.
When he went into the whole thing about Sigi, it sounded strangely familiar, and then I remembered that when Schmid passed away, Pentz had written an article about him in the Atlantic, and that was almost word-for-word in the book.
I don't want to state anything more because I don't want to give something away.
I would give it four out of five stars.
