Zafiro, Holden, and 2 more like this

Heeding Holden's call for assistance last week, I am stepping up--very carefully so as not to strain a hammy--to do this week's PIP. I am not trying to replace Holden; no one could! I am just trying to help out. Perhaps another of our awesome forum folks will want to step up next week?
Saturday is the first of just four home matches that kicks off before 7:30pm. We host a Rapids team who earned their first win of the season last week, coming from behind to beat RSL 2-1--what's more impressive is that the match was in SLC where the home stadium is usually a fortress. Hopefully, with sunny weather in the forecast and an early afternoon kickoff, fans will show up and try to create a hostile environment for our visitors. While we did not play a match last week (due to the postponement), our players endured cross-country travel which does take a toll.
COL are 1-1-1 and sit in 7th place in the West with a -2 goal difference. We are 0-1-1, in 13th with a -1 GD. Historically, however, we have had the upper hand against the Rapids. Last season, we swept COL, including a 4-0 home victory last February. All time, we have a record of 25-4-8 (WDL) against them...which, honestly, surprised me.
One of COL's two "big" additions in the off-season is former-USMNT-starting-GK Zach Steffen; he has had a rough reintroduction to the league, conceding four goals in his Rapids debut at SCUM and coughing up one goal in each of their other matches. The other is their #10, sometimes-USMNT-midfielder Djordje Mihailovic; he has also had a rough reintroduction to the league with no goals or assists and only one shot in three matches (playing all but 4 minutes this season).
I have not seen or heard any injury/availability news for us. But our attack really needs to find its footing. Perhaps memories of that 4-0 win will fuel Morris to another brace or give Ruidiaz the inspiration he looks like he needs to perform.
We will still have replacement officials, as the PRO lockout continues....
How to watch: FREE on "Messi TV" and airing on FOX (coverage begins at 12:30pm Pacific, kickoff 12:55pm)
How to listen: Seattle area 950 KJR AM and El Rey 1360AM
